Bioarchaeological Fieldschool

Accommodation

We decided that for the participants' convenience we are not providing the meals, reducing the fee accordingly. The fieldschool is located within the town centre with easily available grocery shops and/or supermarkets/discount stores, allowing everybody convenient access to any type and price range of food available in Poland. It will allow you to cater to your own needs accordingly, no matter if you have food allergies, are vegetarian/vegan or just have other preferences. The kitchen facilities will allow you to make your own meals.

Puck: the city's view from the air (author of the photo: Marek Truszkowski)

As Puck is a tourist destination during the summer period, it turns into a bustling small town with lots of places to buy hot meals as well. Do be aware though that traditionally the main meal in Poland (which in the form will be similar to dinner) is usually consumed during the early afternoon (and such a meal is provided by ‘lunch subscription’ mentioned above). There should not be any problem in buying a proper dinner in the evening though, as it is quite common for tourist to eat a main meal in the evening. Just do not be surprised if the lunch offer will be lightly more filling then you are used to 😀
