Archaeological workshops

Participants of the workshops will have the opportunity to learn about prehistoric craftsmanship related to the production of the oldest lithic tools, ceramic pottery, and glass beads. They will learn what aerial archaeology is, and how to find archaeological objects from the air. It will also be possible to play archaeological games created by students from the University of Warsaw.

Workshop schedule:

Dates: June 19 (Saturday) from 9.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m.

Place: Building of the Faculty of Archaeology of the University of Warsaw (Main Campus)

Each class will last 45 minutes plus 15 minutes break.

9.00-10.00 – Workshop on modelling clay beads (similar to glass beads); led by Marcin Wagner

9.00-10.00 – Manufacture and use of the oldest stone tools; led by Katarzyna Pyżewicz, Michał Przeździecki and Witold Grużdź

10.00-11.00 – Workshop on modelling clay beads (similar to glass beads); led by Marcin Wagner
