Abstrakt
I my talk, I intend to examine selected aspects of the social organisation of community inhabiting the Neolithic settlement at Çatalhöyük with the primary aim of demonstrating a transdisciplinary
perspective that links theoretical framework, research questions, and methods at the intersection of archaeology and archaeological sciences. The study draws on Nassim Nicholas Taleb’s concept of antifragility and the idea of imposed egalitarianism developed by Ian Hodder, David Wengrow, and David Graeber to frame questions about how this early farming community maintained social
balance amid demographic and environmental change. These questions are addressed by integrating architectural and material analyses with bioarchaeological and environmental data, illustrating how theory and scientific evidence can be systematically connected to better understand long-term social stability.
