The Faculty of History and the Faculty of Archaeology at the University of Warsaw are pleased to invite you to the international workshop „Constructing the Sacred: Liturgy, Architecture, and Experience in the Late Antique East” June 25–26, 2026, University of Warsaw.
The workshop brings together scholars from archaeology, architectural history, art history, and liturgical studies to explore the relationship between ritual practice, sacred architecture, and religious experience in Late Antiquity. Particular attention will be given to the Syrian bema and related liturgical installations across the Eastern Mediterranean and the Near East.
