Absolwent studiów w ówczesnym Instytucie Archeologii UW oraz na Wydziale Zarządzania UW. Obrona doktoratu w 2012 r. na Wydziale Historycznym Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego z dysertacją pt. Geografia wojskowa Mezji Dolnej.

W latach 2002-2022 pracownik Ośrodka Badań nad Antykiem Europy Płd.-Wsch. UW, m.in. koordynator studium doktoranckiego oraz project manager projektów Danube Limes w ramach programu „Central Europe“ UE oraz Frontiers of the Roman Empire, w ramach programu „Culture 2000“ UE.
Współkierownik projektu Archaeology of the Limes Maritimus Scythicus (wcześniej The Danube Underwater Heritage) a w nim kierownik grantu The Danube Underwater Heritage. Nieinwazyjne badania podwodne wzdłuż wybrzeża Morza Czarnego na terenie Delty Dunaju, NCN: 2018/02/X/HS3/01745.
