zainteresowania naukowe:

– historia i kultura Egiptu i Nubii od IV do XV w. n.e.
– socjolingwistyka.
Moje zainteresowania badawcze koncentrują się na szeroko pojętej kulturze piśmienniczej Egiptu i Nubii w późnym antyku i średniowieczu, zwłaszcza na produkcji epigraficznej. Szczególną uwagę przykłada on do procesów społeczno-kulturowych, które można identyfikować i obserwować dzięki źródłom pisanym.
Najważniejsze projekty:
– od 2011: internetowa baza danych tekstów datowanych na okres chrześcijański w Nubii, Database of Medieval Nubian Texts;
– 2012–2018: epigrafik w Polsko-Sudańskiej misji archeologicznej w klasztorze Ghazali (Wadi Abu Dom, Sudan), pod kierownictwem dr. Artura Obłuskiego (CAŚ UW);
– od 2016: członek międzynarodowego projektu badawczego „Edfu w VII w.”, pod kierownictwem prof. Anne Boud’hors (CNRS-IRHT, Paryż) i prof. Alaina Delattre’a (UL, Bruksela), którego celem jest opracowanie i publikacja koptyjskich dokumentów z VII-wiecznego archiwum Papasa, pagarchy Apollinopolis Magna (dziś Edfu) przechowywanych w archiwum Institut français d’archéologie orientale w Kairze;
– 2016–2020: członek międzynarodowego projektu badawczego „Przekrój przez wieki: kościół pw. Panny Marii w Deir al-Surian – zintegrowana analiza architektury, malarstwa i inskrypcji”, pod kierownictwem dr Dobrochny Zielińskiej (IA UW), finansowanego przez NCN w programie Harmonia;
– od 2017: członek międzynarodowego zespołu badawczego, pod kierownictwem dr. Vincenta Laisney (PIB, Rzym), opracowującego inskrypcje naścienne z k ościoła w Sonqi Tino w północnym Sudanie.
– 2019–2021: staż podoktorski (Marie Skłodowska Curie Fellowship) na Uniwersytecie w Lejdzie na realizację projektu „IaM NUBIAN. Identity and Memory in Christian Nubia: A study on strategies of (self-)presentation and preservation of the past in medieval African society”.
